Textile Inventory and Purchasing

In an industry where lots, bales, pieces, rolls, raw materials, finished products, colors, sizes etc. are everyday elements, keeping a warehouse under control, both financially and logistically, is just as important as it is difficult. Datatex textile software, datatex textile ERP is totally suited to textile and apparel requirements.

Improved warehouse organization and engineered location selection will lead to quicker response times resulting in more satisfied customers. Profits will be maximized thanks to minimum stock levels and reduced buying expenses resulting from more efficient purchase requisitions and supplier selection. Furthermore, you will have the capability of issuing any kind of order, be it for production materials, consumption materials or miscellaneous goods as well as managing any kind of warehouse whether internal or external, by quantity, quality, lot, piece, container and size

Inventory

Verifying stock levels and forecasting future needs is essential for effective production planning in the textile and apparel environment. Knowing the quantity of a particular item in stock is not sufficient. Other factors such as the packaging or put-up, the batch or lot identity and the origin of the goods in that roll/piece/bale/package is essential for the correct fulfillment of customer orders. The MASH module is designed to deal with multiple quality levels and related discount percentages, manage yarn moisture variances and calculate the ABC inventory classification consumption. It is also ideal for product allocation by customer order, production order and warehouse location, as well as issuing inventory valuation reports by standard, replacement, LIFO, FIFO, average estimated and average period costs.

Material Replenishment

TIM contains replenishment methodologies that handle either raw or manufacturing materials with automatic calculations of minimums and maximums. To identify future replenishment needs it combines the DISPO (production), TRP (planning) and MASH (stocks)modules, implementing a purchase-when-needed policy. In some cases MRS -Material Replenishment System- is used to identify items suitable for order point handling, calculating, when and where necessary, the trigger levels, order quantities and safety stock. MRS can handle user defined ordering parameters, carry out monthly usage analysis and signal articles needing review. It also calculates the costs of stocking idle materials.

Purchase Requisitions

TIM manages purchase requisitions using a special module called SRS - Supplier Requisition System.- It deals with requisitions for both coded and non-coded items ensuring that these tasks are performed only by authorized personnel, dealing with requesters, approvers, and buyers separately, managing requisition approval by authority level and by ordered value.

Purchase Orders

SOS - Supplier Order System - manages the creation of purchase orders automatically from the requisition module, from manual input or from the planning system. It will also aid in supplier selection, finding the best source based on price, delivery, quality and past performance. It will track status and keep details on all receipts, including those pending quality reviews. Finally, it will pass the necessary information to accounting for vouchering and payment of invoices. Amongst its many functions, SOS has the ability to deal with single and blanket orders. It also handles dynamic price-list functions, discounts and payment methods, dealing with non-coded articles and suppliers. SOS can be used for all purchases of goods or services including size matrix if required.
